Laura has worked in the employment industry for almost 10 years and has an extensive amount of experience supporting hundreds of people into employment and vocational activity. Having worked substantially as a Job Retention Advisor and Vocational Support Worker, she is familiar with client barriers and how these can be overcome.
Having worked in the private, voluntary and public sector Laura has an in-depth knowledgeof the different challenges businesses face. She has used this experience to co-found Big Ambitions CIC, a community interest community established to support people with mental health conditions gain and retain employment, and businesses to be equipped to support staff encouraging positive outcomes for the business and employees.
Recent achievements include achieving funding, and successfully running a three year Vocational Support and Job Retention project, achieving outcomes for over 200 individuals to date.
Project managing a £356,000 project which was successful in achieving a Big Society award, exceeded set outcomes and targets, developed and delivered training material, extensively researched and evaluated outcomes, and devised innovative workplace health tools and programmes.
She is a qualified Life Coach and trainer, with specific training qualifications in mental health, including Mental Health First Aid and Youth Mental Health First Aid. She has qualifications in Business, Information, Advice and Guidance and NEBOSH Management ofHealth and Wellbeing at Work.
